REPORT: JANE HOLROYD

IT'S just over 10 months since her AFL footballer husband Troy Broadbridge was killed in the tsunami that devastated parts of Asia. But yesterday was partly a day of celebration for Trisha Broadbridge, who, supported by friends, Melbourne footballers (above) and family, launched Beyond the Wave, her book about her experience.

"Today is a new journey for me - that's what I've marked today as," said Ms Broadbridge, who built a new school in Thailand this year through a charity she started in memory of her late husband. The 24-year-old will begin a master's degree in international development at RMIT next year.
