Trisha Fallon's shooting and a commitment to defence put Australia's Opals back in winning form on their European tour on Wednesday.

The Opals took their tour record to 3-1, and that against Greece to 2-0, with a 71-63 win over the Greeks in Patras.

Victorian forward Fallon, who lives in Sydney when not playing for Valencia in Spain, scored 23 points.

The win sends the Opals to Belgium buoyed for two games against its national team. More matches follow in France as the Opals prepare for their Olympic qualifying series against New Zealand on September 12-13.

The New Zealand men's team, the Tall Blacks, have brought in their NBA prospect, Kirk Penney, for the series against Australia's Boomers.

Penney has signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves after a strong college career in Wisconsin. He and point guard Mark Dickel give more firepower to the team that returned from Europe after losing all three preparation games.

The Boomers, who went 2-6 on their European tour, will have 13 players in camp in Melbourne from today, with the final 10 to be named on Sunday. Games are in Bendigo on Monday, Geelong on Wednesday and Melbourne on Thursday.
