ANYONE remember Trisha Goddard?

These days the one-time Aussie TV current affairs and lifestyle reporter is the queen of the daytime talkshows in her native Britain.

But some things don't change - Trisha's big mouth still tends to run away with her.

This week, while drumming up publicity for her TV special about the first anniversary of September 11, Ms Goddard reportedly objected to the World Trade Centre attacks being singled out as a more tragic event than massacres and earthquakes around the world.

She even seemed to suggest people were more interested in the death toll in New York and Washington because the victims were predominantly white rather than black.

The controversial presenter agreed that the events of that day were ``awful" but thought they ranked alongside large-scale killings and natural disasters.

``Because this one went out live on television doesn't make it worse than Rwanda, where there were people being hacked to pieces," she said.

Gee, we didn't realise it was a competition, Trisha.
